MICHAEL KORS HAMILTON BAG UNBOXING 2015 - FASHIONETTE.DE

I am so excited to do this post because I finally got my hands on a bag I wanted for so long and you can imagine how I felt when I received the box from fashionette. For those of you who are not familiar with the website, I will explain the concept. So Fashionnette.de is a online designer bags and accessories retailer (nothing new), but as we all know that spending 1,500Euros on a single handbag can be quite overwhelming for many people. So the company decided to provide you with the option to pay the amount on a monthly basis where you pay 1/12 of the price every month. I was a bit sceptical at the beginning, I thought there has to to be some sort of catch, but I was wrong. When I calculated the difference in the two prices I found that I would pay just 50 euros more if I do it in 12 installments, rather than all at once. However, because I subscribed to their newsletter I also got a 20 euros coupon code that made the total difference in the 2 prices even smaller. 

Now I am going to pay less than 32euros per month and the total price after 1 year would equal little over 381 euros. In comparison if you buy the bag and pay the full price at once you will pay 349 euros. You also have the possibility to choose to make the payment in 3 installments (3months) rather than 12. This makes the difference in the 2 prices even smaller. This way you get the possibility to own an expensive handbag that you wouldn't normally be able to afford. 

The website has a wide variety of brands including Michael Kors, Valentino, Prada, Balenciaga, YSL and much more. Sadly, they only ship to Germany and Austria for now, however I am pretty sure they are expanding at the moment to more countries in Europe. Let's get started....

Package came 3 days after I placed my order on the website. I ordered the Michael Kors Hamilton Large Handbag(Safiano Leather) in the color Navy. Here is a link - http://www.fashionette.de/michael-michael-kors-hamilton-lg-ew-satchel-navy

Inside of the box were the handbag itself and an envelope with my invoice and some information for the customer.

The bag was packaged and protected very well. All of the hardware was sealed and wraped, so that it won't get dirty or damaged during the shipping.

The original dust bag was included inside of the bag. The material feels like satin and has the name of the brand written in the front with silver(glittery) letters.

The hardware is gold and quite heavy - there is a lock on the front which you can easily remove using the key in the small leather pocket on the right. However, I don't mind the heaviness and I think the lock is one of the things that make this model unique.

This is how the bag looks like from the inside. It does have some pockets and little departments which makes organizing easier and it has a zipper compartment in the middle which separates the bag into 2 main compartments.

The bag closes by a magnetic clasp on a leather extension.

The bag comes with a long leather and metal(gold) strap which can be removed and a little wrislet attachable chain inside.

The Safiano leather is quite hard but this is okay because it won't wrinkle or scratch as it would have if it was a soft type of leather. Furthermore, it won't get as dirty because you can clean pretty much anything if you just wipe it away. Another plus is that you don't have to be so worried if you are caught in the rain, your bag won't be ruined.

Compared to my big HM bag, the Hamilton looks quite small. You would probably be able to fit just 1/3 or of the stuff you can put into the HM one. However, I use the HM handbag to go to school and I need lots of storage space for my notes,tablet and books that I bring with me. I am not planning on carrying this to uni, as you can probably guess. So this means I won't need that much space anyway.

Overall, the quality is amazing, the style is very classic and timeles and there are quite few shades to choose from. I know that most people reach for the Selma bag by Michael Kors but I preffer this one better.

BH Cosmetics Haul 2015

I browsed the BH Cosmetics website 2 weeks ago and decided to make a small purchase. I know a lot of people like the company and the quality of the products but I decided to make a small order at first and see if I like the quality and then commit to something bigger. So, I decided to share the experience of shopping on their German website since I am living in Germany at the moment. 

The package was shipped the next day after I placed my order on http://www.bhcosmetics.de with DHL and was delivered 3 days after it was shipped, so I am pretty satisfied with the speed of shipping. 

Everything came in thick bubble wrap - nice and protected. Nothing got broken, scratched or damaged in any other way.

 So here are the contents of my package - I ordered the basics - 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette(2nd edition); 28 Neutral Eyeshadow Palette; 10 Color Professional Blush Palette and 2 Color Lock Long Lasting Matte Lipsticks.

 As you can see I received the 10 Color Camouflage Concealer Palette instead of the Blush Palette that I ordered. I contacted customer service immediately and asked for a replacement. I received and answer after 3 days saying that they will ship the right palette and kindly asked me to return the wrong one to the address provided. However, I decided that I want to keep it and wrote them another email asking about banking details for the transaction. The blush palette arrived the next day after I received an answer, so I was pretty impressed with the speed of delivery. I will add the photos for it tomorrow since I am writing this post in the evening and the lightning sucks.

 I decided to go with the 2nd edition one because I found the combination of colors - both warm and cool - most versatile. Moreover, since I was also ordering the neutral palette, I wanted a bigger variety of colors in it.

 I ordered this one to take with me when I am travelling because it's compact and I can make a wide variety of looks - both day and night - using just this one palette.

 I didn't like the packaging of the lipstick - it looks somehow cheap to me and I know 6 euros is not that much for a lipstick but I also own cheaper lipsticks that have a better packaging. I also prefer the NYX matte lipsticks packaging a lot better that these ones.

 Here are the swatches for the two lipsticks. I also tried them on and from what I found from first time application is that they are not as creamy as the NYX Matte Lipsticks, they dry out the lips and application can be hard if no lip balm is applied before the lipstick. However color payoff is very impressive and the colors are absolutely gorgeous, especially the true red. I think it's a classic red shade that would fit almost any skin tone. They retail for 5.95 Euros - just 1 or 2 euros cheaper than the NYX ones, but if I have to choose I would probably go for the NYX, since the consistency of the lipstick is much better.

In conclusion, I am pretty satisfied with my purchase and I would totally recommend trying BH Cosmetics if you are looking for affordable way to start your make-up collection without breaking the bank. Their eye shadows and blushes are of nice quality but I wouldn't recommend their matte lipsticks because there are other brands in the same price range offering better quality.
